Redmond Executive Association, Redmond Rotary, and Redmond Kiwanis Club are co-hosting a local election forum at the Redmond Senior Center this Friday, September 27, 1:00p – 3:00p.

We’ll be hearing about and from:

  • Measure 9-174, Dr. Charan Cline, Redmond School District, Bonds to increase safety; repair schools; expand vocational training facilities.

  • Measure 9-176, Erin Kilcullen, Deschutes Soil and Water Conservation District, Establish permanent tax rate limit.
  • Candidates for Sheriff, William Bailey, Kent Vander Kamp
  • Candidates for State Representative, Emerson Levy, Keri Lopez
  • Candidates for State Senate, Anthony Broadman, Michael Summers

“For years, Redmond Executive Association in partnership with Redmond Rotary and Redmond Kiwanis, have hosted local candidate forums at the Redmond Senior Center, free of charge for the community. Throughout the series of forums, we have consistently received positive feedback from community members, and candidates alike,” Jennifer Stephens, REA member, and forum coordinator. “Creating a space for conversation about issues that matter is mutually beneficial. Especially in a regional and county-wide election when all of the candidates are from Bend, having a forum in Redmond is a good opportunity to ask our questions, voice concerns, and share ideas.”

There is no cost to attend. We hope the forum creates an opportunity for our Redmond community to get to know local issues and candidates better before voting this November.

Next week, Friday, October 4, 1:00p – 3:00p, we will host Redmond Mayoral and City Council candidates in a panel forum style format with moderated questions.
