After close consultation with fire management officials, the Ochoco National Forest has reduced the Paulina Complex Fire Area Closure due to significant progress in containment and improving safety conditions.
This reduction comes after thorough assessments of fire behavior, successful containment efforts, and careful consideration of public safety. Firefighters have made great strides in containment of the multiple incidents across the landscape, enabling the reopening of some areas for public access.
A map detailing the updated closure boundaries is available on the Ochoco National Forest website. Visitors are reminded that hazards remain, including fire-weakened trees and ongoing fire activity in certain areas. Please stay alert, respect closure boundaries, and follow posted signs for your safety.
The safety of the public and firefighters continues to be our top priority. We appreciate the community’s patience and cooperation as we work to ensure a safe response.
