Bend Woman Arrested For Trafficking Fentanyl

A 34-year-old Bend woman was arrested for trafficking fentanyl after authorities concluded a month-long drug investigation. The Central Oregon Drug Enforcement (CODE) Team’s investigation, in collaboration with the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office, revealed that the suspect was transporting drugs into Deschutes County and trafficking fentanyl in the Bend area.

On June 7th, 2024, at approximately 2:00 a.m,, CODE Detectives were able to locate the suspect in her vehicle outside of Deschutes County. Drug agents followed her as she drove into Peter Skene Ogden State Park. Deschutes County Sheriff Deputies conducted a traffic stop where  K9 “Bonnie” – a drug detection K9 with the Bend Police Department – was deployed and alerted to the odor presence of drugs in her vehicle, a blue 1999 Ford Explorer.

CODE Detectives applied for and were granted a search warrant and found her to be in possession of both fentanyl pills and fentanyl powder, packaging material, and a digital scale.

The suspect was transported to the Deschutes County Adult Jail where she was found to be in possession of additional fentanyl pills and some methamphetamine, additional charges may be filed in this case as the investigation is ongoing.
